Is Kitchen First free?

Yes. Kitchen First is a free iPhone app. No account is needed.

How do I add what’s in my kitchen?

Search for foods in Kitchen, speak a list, or scan a receipt or choose a receipt photo. Review and correct the suggested foods before adding them. Voice needs microphone and speech permission and on-device support.

What if I’m missing an ingredient?

Check a recipe’s missing ingredients before cooking. Add what you need to Shopping from a recipe or your meal plan. At the shop, mark items as in the basket, then use Put away to add them to Kitchen.

Can I plan breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Yes. From a recipe, choose a date and breakfast, lunch or dinner. Open This week on Home to see the calendar. Choose Any day if you have not picked a date. You can move or remove a planned meal.

Can I import recipes from a website?

Recipe website import is unavailable in v1. You can browse the recipes included in Kitchen First and save meals to find again from Recipes.

Where is my kitchen data kept?

Your foods, shopping list, saved recipes, meal plan and preferences stay in local storage on your phone. There is no Kitchen First account or household sync service. Device backups are separate.

Can I change food names or measurements?

Open Settings from Home to choose UK or US food names and metric or US measurements.
